MEDICATIONS/ILLNESS


Please be sure you give all medications to your child's teacher. Medicine must be kept in a locked box. Medication slips must be filled out completely before any medication is administered and are available in each of the classrooms. Over the counter medicine must be well labeled with your child's name and exact dosage on the bottle. Prescription medicine must be in the original contained with your child's name, date, doctor, and exact dosage listed.

In order to maintain a healthy environment, we request that you keep your child home if he/she has experienced any of the following in the last 24 hours and if any of the following occurs while your child is at the center we will contact you for a prompt pick-up:
  • A temperature of 100 degrees or more under the arm, unless we have written permission from a doctor stating the temperature is due to a ear infection or immunizations - no child with a fever over 103 will be permitted to be at Small Wonders regardless of the cause.

  • Diarrhea

  • Vomiting

  • An unexplained Rash

  • Discharge from the eyes or ears

  • Head lice or nits

  • Inability to participate as usual in daily classroom activities - If your child is too ill to go outside, then he/she is too ill to attend Small Wonders.

Children must be symptom-free or on antibiotics for a full 24 hours prior to returning to school.
